This year’s AGM is scheduled for Sunday 26th June. In order to allow as many people as possible to attend this will be a “Teams” meeting from 4pm-6.30pm; the link will go out with the final documentation via email.

While we do have every position on the committee filled at the moment, a number of current committee members volunteered for their roles, rather than being formally elected. Every person who is currently “in post” is happy to stay on for the remainder of the two-year term (subject to confirmation via vote at the AGM), but if anyone does want to stand for election to the committee for the remainder of this term please email Jamie (vpforsport@thebssf.org.uk) to let him know. The positions currently filled by volunteers are: President, Executive Director, VP for Development and Teams Rep, and anyone standing for any of those positions will need to be proposed and seconded by a current member.

If anyone has any proposals for discussion at the AGM please also submit these via email to Jamie (linkto:vpforsport@thebssf.org.uk). The deadline for nominations for election and also for proposals is midday on June 14th.

LOCAL RULES AND CONSTITUTION
Some of the proposals at this year’s AGM intend to to “tidy up” both the Local Rules and the Constitution. There will be few major changes; this is more about clarifying meanings and altering dates where, for example, small edits have been made to the rules over time and they have become ambiguous as a result. In an attempt to keep discussion of these alterations to a minimum at the actual AGM, we are proposing two group calls in advance of the AGM, one to discuss the Local Rules and the other to address the Constitution. If you are interested in being involved in either or both of these discussions, please contact us either via BSSF messenger or email Sarah (linkto:president@thebssf.org.uk). We are really keen to get a cross section of opinions from teams, monosports, hound people and husky people so please do consider joining one or both calls and giving your view. If you can’t make the scheduled calls we can also take written feedback.
